Tech Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy Wins Praise from Former President Trump After GOP Debate

Former President Donald Trump has bestowed accolades upon tech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, hailing him as the victor of the Republican presidential debate on Wednesday night, albeit for his staunch defense of Trump’s legacy.

During the debate, Ramaswamy, a political newcomer at 38, unequivocally expressed his admiration for the former president: “President Trump, I believe, was the best president of the 21st century,” Ramaswamy affirmed, a statement that quickly caught Trump’s attention.

In a video clip from the debate that Trump shared on his social media platform Truth Social, he lauded Ramaswamy’s words and labeled him the winner due to his commitment to what he referred to as “TRUTH.”

Trump notably chose not to participate in the debate, instead opting for an interview with commentator Tucker Carlson, which was broadcast on social media. Trump praised Ramaswamy’s strategy as a shrewd move, considering the positive response it garnered.

Ramaswamy’s performance on the Milwaukee debate stage has been widely recognized as one of the most impactful. He skillfully navigated the discussion, frequently participating and adeptly handling the barrage of attacks from fellow candidates.

The tech entrepreneur’s defense of Trump extended beyond the former president’s accolades. Ramaswamy was the first candidate to raise his hand when asked whether he would support Trump as the party’s nominee, even if Trump were to be convicted on any of the felony charges he currently faces.

Ramaswamy didn’t stop there; he directly challenged former Vice President Mike Pence on the topic. “Join me in making a commitment that one day you would pardon Donald Trump,” Ramaswamy boldly urged Pence, prompting a nuanced response from the former vice president who mostly sidestepped the question.

Ramaswamy’s performance and unapologetic alignment with Trump’s legacy have positioned him as a noteworthy contender within the GOP primary race, drawing attention from both party members and the general public.
