Netanyahu Vows Hamas Will Not Govern Gaza After the War

Israel’s Stance on Hamas Rule

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared during a visit to Gaza on Tuesday that Hamas would not continue governing the Palestinian enclave after the war. He claimed Israel had dismantled Hamas’s military capabilities, emphasizing that the Islamist group’s control over Gaza would come to an end.

Efforts to Rescue Hostages

Netanyahu reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to rescuing the 101 hostages believed to still be held in Gaza. He announced a $5 million reward for each hostage’s return, vowing harsh consequences for anyone harming them.
“Anyone who dares to harm our hostages will have blood on their head. We will hunt you down and get you,” Netanyahu stated. He also extended an offer of safe passage for individuals who aid in the hostages’ recovery, including their families.

A Clear Message to Hamas

Addressing Hamas and its supporters, Netanyahu issued a stark warning, urging them to cooperate or face inevitable consequences:
“Choose, the choice is yours, but the result will be the same. We’ll get them all back.”

Visit to Gaza with Military Leaders

Netanyahu’s remarks came during a visit to Gaza alongside Israel’s defense minister and the head of its army. The Prime Minister received an operational briefing on the ongoing military activities in the region.
