Three Democratic senators—Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.), Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), and John Fetterman (D-Pa.)—joined Republicans in voting to end debate and proceed with confirmation. Their support indicates a level of bipartisan backing for Zeldin, despite broader party divisions.


Final Vote Scheduled for Wednesday Afternoon

The Senate is set to hold the final confirmation vote at 3:30 p.m. If confirmed, Zeldin will lead the EPA under President Trump’s administration, influencing environmental regulations and policies.
