WASHINGTON – In a recent statement, US President Joe Biden expressed concerns over Israel’s diminishing support worldwide and called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to “strengthen and change” his government. Speaking at a campaign fundraiser in Washington, Biden highlighted the challenges faced by the current Israeli government, labeling it as the most conservative in the nation’s history and emphasizing its lack of commitment to a two-state solution for the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Biden asserted that Netanyahu faces a “tough decision” and must take steps to address the situation. The remarks come in the wake of Netanyahu’s admission of disagreements with the US president concerning the “post-Hamas” Gaza Strip. Netanyahu expressed hope for a resolution on the issue, acknowledging the existing discord.

As the international community observes these developments, concerns grow about the declining global support for Israel. The US president’s call for Netanyahu to make changes within his government reflects the complexity of the Israeli political landscape and its implications for finding a long-term solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
