Former President Donald Trump took to social media on Saturday to launch a barrage of attacks against the judge overseeing his New York civil fraud trial. His tirade comes in response to the judge’s ruling that requires Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, to testify in the case.

Engoron Targeted

In a post on Truth Social, Trump labeled the judge, Arthur Engoron, as “unhinged” and an “out of control ‘Nut Job.'” He strongly opposed the idea that Ivanka Trump should testify, especially after her dismissal as a defendant in June.

Trump’s social media comments included accusations that Engoron is “CRAZY” and fueled by a deep-seated hatred. He criticized the judge’s competence, referring to him as “grossly incompetent” and “a partisan political hack” with a strong bias against Trump.

Gag Order and Fines

Trump has consistently attacked not only Judge Engoron but also other key figures involved in the case, including New York Attorney General Tish James. His prior posts, which included a photo of Engoron’s clerk falsely identified as the girlfriend of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, led to a gag order.

The gag order was imposed to prevent Trump from disparaging court staff, and he was fined $10,000 on Wednesday for violating it a second time.

Legal Background

New York Attorney General Tish James filed a lawsuit against Trump last year, alleging extensive business fraud. Trump is simultaneously facing multiple criminal investigations at both the state and federal levels.

The developments in this New York civil fraud trial highlight the contentious legal battles Trump continues to face.
