Suspect Identified in Break-In at Trump Campaign Office in Virginia

Authorities have identified Toby Shane Kessler as the suspect in a break-in at a Trump campaign office in Virginia. Kessler, who has a criminal record, is not yet in custody.

Authorities have identified Toby Shane Kessler, 39, as the suspect in a break-in at a Donald Trump campaign office in suburban Virginia, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office. Kessler, who has a criminal record and no known address, is suspected of breaking into the office on Sunday evening.

Details of the Break-In

Kessler allegedly forced his way into the campaign office, located in an office park about 30 miles west of Washington, D.C., through a back door. The sheriff’s office stated that Kessler spent only a brief period inside before leaving. It remains unclear if anything was taken during the incident.

Kessler’s Background and Criminal Record

Kessler has a history of criminal activity and has been in the Washington area since at least 2018, although he holds a California driver’s license. His previous arrests include charges of loitering, fraud, and impersonation in Florida. Most recently, he was arrested in April in St. Augustine, Florida, and had a prior arrest in Brevard County, Florida, in May 2019.

Current Status and Investigation

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has obtained an arrest warrant for Kessler on charges of burglary and is collaborating with other agencies to locate him. As of now, Kessler is not in custody. The Trump campaign has not yet responded to requests for comment.
