South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem delivered an enthusiastic endorsement of former President Donald Trump during a campaign rally in Rapid City, South Dakota, on Friday night. Speaking before a crowd of supporters holding “Trump Noem 2024” signs, Governor Noem proclaimed her “full and complete endorsement” of Trump for the presidency of the United States.

“He is the leader, the fighter that our country needs. He has my full and complete endorsement for President of the United States of America,” Noem declared, pledging to do “everything I can to help him win and save this country.”

Donald Trump, taking the stage shortly after Noem’s endorsement, expressed his gratitude, referring to her as “one of the most successful governors in the entire nation.” He stated, “Kristi, I’m truly honored to receive your endorsement.”

Notably, Governor Noem has been widely considered a potential running mate for Trump in a future presidential bid. Her endorsement of Trump comes just weeks after she told Fox News that she would “of course” consider a spot on the Trump 2024 ticket.

During her speech at the rally, Noem highlighted her collaborative efforts with Trump during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, emphasizing that Trump allowed her to “do my job.” She contrasted South Dakota’s approach with that of other states, noting that while many were imposing lockdowns and stay-at-home orders, South Dakota took a different path.

Trump echoed Noem’s remarks on COVID-19, drawing comparisons between her and unnamed governors who, according to him, failed to keep their states open. He commended Noem for never imposing a lockdown in South Dakota, a stance that set her apart from other state leaders.

Governor Noem’s endorsement of Trump further solidifies her alignment with the former president, sparking speculation about her role in Trump’s potential 2024 presidential campaign.
