Joint Call Between Zelensky, Trump, and Musk

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky extended his congratulations to President-elect Donald Trump in a call on Wednesday following Trump’s election victory. According to media reports, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and a Trump supporter, also joined the call from Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Palm Beach residence, where the discussion took place.

Trump Reaffirms Support for Ukraine; Musk Commits to Starlink Services

During the 25-minute conversation, Trump reportedly expressed his intent to support Ukraine but did not specify further details. Musk, whose company SpaceX provides the Starlink satellite communications critical to Ukraine’s defense, also assured Zelensky of his commitment to continue supplying satellite services. Zelensky reportedly highlighted the importance of Starlink, which has been essential for Ukraine’s internet connectivity during the ongoing conflict.

Musk’s Role and Support for Trump

Musk has made significant financial contributions to Trump’s presidential campaign and has appeared alongside him at public events. Trump, in turn, has expressed interest in offering Musk a potential role in his administration focused on enhancing government efficiency. Musk did not respond to requests for comment, and Trump’s campaign declined to discuss the meeting further.

Zelensky’s Continued Diplomatic Engagement

Zelensky, one of the first world leaders to reach out to Trump post-election, has emphasized the need for continued U.S.-Ukraine cooperation. In a post on social media platform X, he confirmed that his discussions with Trump would continue, describing U.S. leadership as “vital for the world and for a just peace.”
