On Saturday, the armed wing of the Palestinian militant group Hamas, known as the al-Qassam Brigades, declared a postponement of the anticipated second round of hostage releases. This delay, they specified, is contingent upon Israel’s commitment to allowing aid trucks entry into northern Gaza.

The al-Qassam Brigades emphasized that the release of hostages would only proceed if Israel adheres to the agreed-upon terms for the liberation of Palestinian prisoners. This development underscores the intricate conditions and negotiations that underscore the delicate balance in the ongoing dynamics between Hamas and Israel.
