Former President Donald Trump is approaching the end of his search for a vice presidential running mate, a process he likened to a “sophisticated version of ‘The Apprentice.'” Despite the urgency with the GOP convention in Milwaukee starting soon, even Trump’s top advisers claim they are unaware of his final choice. Trump has narrowed the field to four or five contenders, including Sen. J.D. Vance, Sen. Marco Rubio, and Gov. Doug Burgum. Trump has praised each potential candidate but has not confirmed his final decision. His announcement is expected before the GOP convention’s roll call vote.
